The price range for inflatable pontoon boats can vary quite a bit depending on size, quality and features.
If you’re looking to spend under $500 there are a few good options available to you.
Classic Accessories has three pontoon boats that they offer for a great price.
In our experience they are not necessarily as highly rated as the more expensive boats but for many people they will do just fine.
They are great for recreational use, fishing on flat water such as lakes, slow rivers or calm ocean bays.
Below are the most popular models that can be purchased for under $500.
Classic Accessories Colorado Boat
The Colorado is not only our favorite on this list but the favorite of many. It has a lot of positive reviews and is quite popular.
The price is excellent and for that great price you get a pretty decent fishing boat.
It’s 9’ long and ideal for lakes, rivers or ocean bays. It has the majority of the important accessories covered such as:
- weather proof motor mount
- wire rear storage and battery platform
- decent storage capacity
- 3 oar-lock positions
- anchor system with mesh bag
- detachable foam fly patch
- adjustable seat and footrests
- 7 foot two-piece aluminum oars
- cold and heat resistant bladders
- combination quick inflation/deflation valves
We’ve done a complete review on this boat as it is one of the more popular models on the market. Click here to read our full review of the Colorado pontoon boat.
Classic Accessories Colorado XT
The Colorado XT is also popular. It costs a little more than the Colorado but it has some nice added accessories and features.
It includes removable gear bags so you can customize your storage as well as a rod holder that can be mounted in six different positions.
It also has a transport wheel, which is a cool feature that allows you to easily wheel your boat to the water. When not in use the wheel stows up out of the way.
This fishing boat also features a removable stripping basket for side or over-the-lap mounting, a two-position motor mount for trolling and two detachable foam fly patches.
Classic Accessories Roanoke
The Roanoke is the cheapest option and although it has solid reviews we would suggest going up one notch to the Colorado boat if you can, simply because the Roanoke is very basic.
It’s a solid fishing boat but keep in mind you get what you pay for.
This one is a little shorter at 8’ long and has a lower weight capacity of 350 pounds. It is rated for flat water use only.
It has two large zippered pockets for storage in the armrests. The rear platform is fabric instead of wire so not quite as solid and sturdy as the other two models mentioned above.
It has a mesh under-seat apron and a plastic fold-down seat.
The Roanoke will get you out on the water and has the basics covered but in our opinion, this boat gets boring fast and you’ll probably want to upgrade sooner than later.
However the point is, if you want to fish and you need a boat, there are a few great options available at a very affordable price.
