More Detailed Info
The Classic Accessories Colorado Pontoon Boat is quite popular.
It’s not as high quality as many of the other inflatable pontoon boats listed but for the money paid, you get a great little boat that is compact, convenient and fun to use.
It is best suited for flat water such as lakes, ponds, calm rivers, or calm ocean bays.
For the most part, I like this pontoon boat. It has a few downfalls but overall it’s very functional.
It’s stable and comfortable and has a few features that really make it stand out.
For one it has an anchor system that allows you to stay put in moving water when fishing.
This is a handy feature and if you are used to fishing in a kayak or canoe, you will greatly appreciate the ability to use an anchor.
There is not a huge amount of storage space but for a 9’ solo pontoon boat there is enough for a day trip.
The wire mesh storage compartment in the back will hold your necessities and there are 10 mesh pockets as well as 12 zippered pockets for storing small items that you need easy access to.
Unfortunately there is no storage under your feet or upfront except for the pockets.
The rod holders can be mounted in three different positions and there is a sturdy motor mount, which is ideal for trolling.
The seat and footrests can be adjusted for your comfort and the overall seating position has been rated as very comfortable. You sit up quite high which helps with visibility.
Quality of Construction
The Colorado Pontoon Boat is one of the cheaper options out there for an inflatable pontoon boat… but I would not call it cheap.
It’s priced lower and the quality tends to reflect that. That being said I don’t want to imply that the quality is bad, it’s just not quite as tough as a higher priced boat.
Whereas some inflatable pontoon boats have solid all PVC pontoons, the Colorado has abrasion-resistant PVC bottoms but only nylon tops.
The oarlocks are bronzed and the steel tube frame is tough. The bladders are cold and heat resistant and the valves are good quality.
Overall it’s a good quality boat. It comes with a 2-year warranty and most people have stated that they are very satisfied with the quality.
I would suggest that it is fine for the recreational angler. Just take a little extra care in making sure it is protected from UV rays and exposure to the elements and it will last a long time.
Setup and Portability
The Colorado is easy to set up but definitely takes quite a bit longer than say the Sea Eagle Frameless Pontoon boat, which sets up in minutes.
This one has a frame that needs to be attached so there is a little extra work. It’s not hard but you will need to follow the instructions.
Might take half an hour or so the first time but you will probably get the set-up time down to 20 minutes once you know what you are doing.
It only takes about half that time to deflate it, break it down and pack it away.
At 71.5 lbs. this boat is a little heavy to carry and transport on your own. Not impossible but much easier if you have a friend to help.
If you are able to park close to the water, then it will be much easier for you. The other option if you are finding it heavy is to get a wheeled cart to help with the load.
Final Thoughts
Overall this pontoon boat is ideal for fishing on flat water. With a trolling motor you will be able to access quiet, remote locations in comfort.
The quality and features are not necessarily as good as a higher priced boat but for the money paid, this one is great.
I find it a little on the heavy side, but bottom line is that a large majority of the reviews are awesome. People love it and it’s affordable.
It’s a great option for those who want a convenient and portable fishing vessel without investing a large amount of money.

I bought one last year, and have used it 4 or 5 times. For the price it’s a good buy, but it has it’s up’s and down’s.
Where the frame joins together, it can be a real pain getting the holes to line up for the pins to go in. It really should come with a swivel on the seat.. thankfully I read that before buying mine, so I ordered on with my boat. And yes it is a bit on the heavy side, although you can order a wheel that mounts under the seat, then folds under when you get to the water. My biggest complaint is the way it tracks in the water, no mater if you are paddling or using a motor it doesn’t EVER want to go straight. I have a elct trolling motor, and sometimes I even use my 3hp gas motor on it… and while it’s not rated for a gas motor, it works just fine.

I bought one in July2016 and have been out on it every weekend since. I fully decked it out with 40# thrust trolling motor, real anchor, and fish finder. Steering with the trolling motor was a bit challenging until I saw a youtube video that showed me how to use the oars as rudders which made using the motor much more enjoyable and fun. I’m a fly fisherman and use the pontoon on small lakes and large creeks/small rivers. It has opened up a ton of water for me to fish and explore. I have zero complaints about this product – none whatsoever. I highly recommend it.
